Wall Street Journal: Head of Sun's Chip Business Resigns |

Sun Microsystems
Inc. disclosed Tuesday that its executive vice president of
microelectronics, David Yen, has resigned after 20 years at the server
computer and software vendor. Mr. Yen held a variety of executive roles
since joining Sun in 1988, including head of the company's storage
business and server systems. Besides using chips in its own computers,
Sun has been trying to get other companies to use its Sparc
microprocessors. According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange
Commission, Mr. Yen submitted his resignation to the Santa Clara,
Calif., company on Friday.
