All contributors to OpenSPARC are required to sign the Contributor Agreement
("CA") before contributing code to the community. This enables a single
entity to represent the aggregated code base and gives the community flexibility
to act as a whole to changing situations.
The CA is currently in use for most of Sun's other open source
projects, including OpenSolaris, Jini, JXTA, Glassfish, and Looking
Glass. The CA establishes a joint copyright assignment in which the
contributor retains copyright ownership while also granting those
rights to Sun as the project sponsor. The CA also ensures that the
community has a patent license for all contributions made to the
project. With the CA in place, the aggregated code base within this
Open Source project is protected by both the distribution license,
copyright and patent law.
By contributing source code or other material to this website you
represent that you have a contributor agreement with Sun for such
contributions. If this representation is not true you hereby license
your contributions as if they were Other Materials under the this websites
Terms of Use at http://www.sunsource.net/TUPPCP.html.
In order to track contributors you understand that your full name and
username will be posted on a public URL of authorized contributors.
Please note, the CA does not change the rights or responsibilities
of the community under the open source license applicable to the code
and other material found on the OpenSPARC community website.
Please review the CA for a complete understanding of its terms and
conditions. The CA is applicable to all products and projects owned or
managed by Sun: signing it once means you can contribute code to any
Sun-sponsored open source project. Please retain a copy for your
records.
